Radio London commercials
Hans Knot heeft wederom het nodige speurwerk in zijn uitgebreide archief gedaan. Hans heeft de honderden commercials die door de zeezender Radio London zijn uitgezonden in kaart gebracht. Radio London begon haar uitzendingen op 17 december 1964. Op 14 augustus 1967 moest Radio London haar uitzendingen staken: "Big L time is three o'clock, Radio London is now closing down". RADIO LONDON COMMERCIALS

Maanden zijn er voorbij gegaan toen ik de eerste aantekening maakte inzake de commercials die op Radio London ooit zijn uitgezonden tussen 17 december 1964 en 14 augustus 1967. Niet dat er vanaf de eerste dag al commercials werden uitgezonden, dat zou pas in februari 1965 zijn voor een bedrijf in Gravesend. Maar geld is er genoeg verdiend door de directie van Radio London, onder leiding van Philip Birch. Deze Birch had een handig team van zendtijdverkopers ingezet met als resulaat honderden adverteerders en bovendien tienduizenden ponden aan inkomsten (De pond stond toen rond de 10 gulden) per maand. Niet alleen adverteerders werden aangetrokken maar ook religieuze organisaties uit Amerika. Daarnaast was er tevens ruimte voor gesponsorde shows. In de lijst hier onder zijn tevens de reclamespots opgenomen voor charitatieve doeleinden, die door de Radio London Organisatie in de loop van haar bestaan zijn gesteund.
