 Van 22 september 1970 t/m 27 juni 1988 werd door de Avro het TV programma TopPop uitgezonden. Het programma werd gepresenteerd door Ad Visser en later door Kas van Iersel, Leonie Sazias en Bas Westerweel. Recent zijn vier dubbel DVD's verschenen met de grootste hits uit de "TopPop periode". Met o.a. Foxy, Johnny Guitar Watson, Nena, Slade, Heart, Blondie, Doug Ashdown, Suzie Quatro, Bolland & Bolland en Brother Johnson. De TopPop DVD serie is nu verkrijgbaar bij SMC voor 18,- per dubbel DVD.
